iso from Disk Utility with the plan to right click burn from there but "Disk Utility cannot open files in the 'ISO Disk Image' format" iso directly onto a DVD (right click file in finder and select "burn etc.") When I try to continue, Bootcamp Assistant says "the installer disc could not be found". I select both and the first runs fine placing the support software onto a USB flash drive. When I run the Boot Camp Assistant I am only offered 2 options - "Download the latest Windows support software from Apple", and "Install Windows 7 or later Varsion". ![]() I do not have my original installation DVD but do have my Microsoft product key. ![]() I thought I would start from a clean slate and so have deleted the Bootcamp partition. I am re-installing Windows because my existing installation became very corrupted and unrepairable from within. I am trying to re-install Windows 7 onto my 27inch iMac (mid-2010) OSX El Capitan.
